Our website T & Cs'

  1. The Financial Times Limited ("FT" or "we" or "us") provides an on-line portal for individuals and organisations who seek late availability places on training and development courses or programmes (together referred to as "Programmes"). These Programmes are up-loaded onto the site by third party Programme suppliers, including in some instances, FT owned or affiliated third party Programme suppliers ("Programme Suppliers"). Our website at exec-courses.com("Website") allows individuals to search for, reserve and pay for a place on a Programme in real time. The purchaser of a place on a Programme via the Website or the organisation on whose behalf a place is purchased is referred to in these terms and conditions as "you" or "the Customer".
  1. Please take time to read these terms and conditions. It is important that you understand our contractual relationship relating to your use of the Website. You are not allowed to purchase places on any Programme unless you have confirmed that you have read these terms.
  1. We act as a disclosed agent for third party Programme Suppliers with the consequence that the contract for the provision of the Programme place is between you and the Programme Supplier. You should be aware that there may be additional terms and conditions applying to the contract for the provision of the Programme. These may be made available to you by the Programme Supplier but we would advise you to make sure that you have read these terms and conditions before completing your transaction with us.
  1. Because we act as agent, we have no contractual liability or responsibility to you in respect of the provision and performance of the Programmes, although we will carry out reasonable steps to vet Programme Suppliers appearing on the Website.
  1. All Programme places appearing on the Website are not an offer by either theFT or the Programme Suppliers which supply such places, but an invitation to you to make an offer to our Programme Suppliers. We are free to accept that offer on behalf of those Programme Suppliersor to reject it. In some cases, we may send you an email acknowledging receipt of your order. Once we have processed your order, we will send you an e-mail confirming the contract.
  1. Any queries, questions or issues relating to the Programme and Programme place should be addressed to the Programme Supplier. You will see the name and address, plus contact details, for Programme Supplierson the Website in the information section for each Programme and in any confirmatory e-mail we send you.
  1. As your contract is with a Programme Supplier which is a third party, we may pass your booking details to that Programme Supplier. The placing of an order for any goods and services by you will constitute your consent to our passing on such details. We will take payment on behalf of the Programme Supplier and remit the funds (less any commission) to the Programme Supplier following completion of the relevant Programme.
  1. All prices indicated are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  1. There are two methods of securing a place on a Programme: (1) by booking and paying in full, or (2) by reserving a place by payment of a non-returnable £10 deposit which secures a place for 3 working days, by which time the payment balance must be made in full.
  1. Upon completion of the payment process on the Website, the Customer will be bound by a legally binding contract with the Programme Supplier on the terms of these terms and conditions and payments are non-refundable.
  1. Credit card companies may charge us a fee when you pay with their cards and therefore a credit card fee is applied to some bookings including those made with Visa or MasterCard credit cards.
  1. The non-returnable deposit of £10 to reserve a place holds the place for 3 working days prior to payment in full. It will be deducted from the final amount payable. If the full payment is not made then the reserved place is forfeited and will be re-advertised.
  1. In exceptional circumstances, where a place on a Programme has been paid for in full and the Customer notifies us of his or her inability to attend the Programme, if FT is able to successfully resell the place, a refund less payment transaction charges and a £50 administration fee, will be made to the Customer.
  1. Once a booking is made, e-mail confirmation will be sent with a unique client reference number. This reference code should be utilised in all subsequent communication with either FT or the Programme Supplier.
  1. All administrative and logistical details and arrangements including for example pre-course preparation (where applicable), timings, location and travel arrangements will be dealt with directly by the Programme Supplier's administrative point of contact.
  1. The details of Programmes on the Website will indicate whether they are residential or non-residential.
  1. Programme content is provided directly by the Programme Supplier any questions concerning suitability or level of knowledge required for participants should be verified directly with the Programme Supplier prior to placing an order. FT does not accept any responsibility for the suitability, standard or appropriateness of Programmes to a particular Customer's individual profiles or requirements.
  1. All travel to and from the venue is the sole responsibility of the Customer's participants and is at the Customer's participants' own risk.
  1. All matters concerning the presentation, format, content of the Programme and of all facilities and accommodation relating to the Programme together with all health and safety and other statutory or regulatory requirements relating to the provision of the Programme are the sole responsibility of the Programme Supplier.
  1. FT shall have no contractual liability or responsibility to the Customer or anyparticipant arising from any failure, act, error or omission in respect of the provision of any Programmes and any facilities or accommodation at which the Programmes are provided or hosted.
  1. Any complaints or issues pertaining to a Programme's course content or its delivery should be directed to the relevant Programme Supplier.
  1. FT will allow on-line feedback to appear on the Website. All users of the Website who provide feedback agree not to use any obscene, dishonest, infringing, defamatory or abusive language or content. We reserve the right to remove any feedback that we consider in our discretion to be in breach of the aforesaid requirement or otherwise in bad taste.
  1. Cookie policy – FT utilises cookies to continually monitor the Website and improve its performance for all users. Further information about cookies can be found at in our cookie policy.
  1. If there are any changes to the details supplied to us by you it is your responsibility to inform us via our web form or by contacting us as soon as possible at contactus@ft.com.
  1. FT shall have no contractual liability or responsibility to the Customer or any participant arising from any failure, act, error or omission of the Website.We will do our best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them.
  1. If we incorrectly state a price to you whether online or otherwise, the FT is not obliged to provide you with that Programme at that price, even if we have mistakenly accepted that offer on behalf of the Programme Supplier, and we reserve the right to subsequently notify you of any pricing error. If we do this, you may cancel the Programme without any obligation to us and we will refund you any money you have paid us in full, or, subject to availability you may pay the correct price. We will always act in good faith in determining whether a genuine pricing error has occurred.
  1. FT does not make any warranty that the Website will be uninterrupted or free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.
  1. Failure by FT to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be deemed a waiver of future enforcement of that or any other provision. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority or a court of law to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Nothing in these terms and conditions will exclude or limit the liability of FT for fraudulent misrepresentation or personal injury or death caused by negligence.
  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the Customer agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
